Digg.com & Stumbleupon.com
December 4, 2007
So, are you writing articles or blog posts and wondering what to do with them besides post them on your website? Why not go where the people go? There are tons of websites where avid readers are looking for great content.
Digg.com is a what is known as a democratic content engine. That means that, just like in a democracy, the content that gets the most ‘diggs’ will float to the top. Digg is a place for people to discover and share content from anywhere on the web. From the biggest online destinations to the most obscure blog, Digg surfaces the best stuff as voted on by its users.
Stumbleupon.com is similar and likens its site to a way to ‘channel surf’ the web. With nearly 4 million users, you’ll have plenty of company at this site. It’s home page is similar to YouTube.com, so it is pretty easy to navigate. For those of you with kiddoes who are trying to beat out Mario or are stuck on a certain level, a quick search on this site may take you to YouTube.com or another site that will have the answer you are seeking!
The next time you are finished with an article, be sure to do one more step and upload it to these (and other) content sites – in no time at all you’ll see your traffic increase exponentially!
